My self-portrait was inspired by a trip that I took to the Bronx Zoo. I sat near a pond and began to notice fluttering colors deep underwater. I began sketching koi fish in pencil and wondered what it would be like to be surrounded by their beauty in a place without time. This piece incorporates my love for fashion and make-up artistry inspired by natural yet imagined environments with compositions that pulsate and move.
