In this study for the animation character of a princess panther, I created a series of drawings exploring the character of a half girl, half Panther, and the environment that she lives in. This research attempts to provide information for a movie I envision being created about her. I used black paper to boost the contrast of light and shadows. Starting with a dark background allows me to set the overall mood for a character, and becomes a materials experiment as well.
