Fractals of the Self

Oil on canvas

24” x 18”

There are various versions of the self that we offer to the world. In this piece, I portray the side of myself that seeks an elevated purpose—fractals of the self radiate to discover the unknown hoping to answer age-old questions. I used a dynamic and rhythmic composition that leads the eye back and forth from abstract to tangible forms. For me, this composition describes creativity and the search for knowledge.
